The Aerial Dance Berlin group is made up of contemporary dance artists with diverse backgrounds, but with a shared interest: to explore the gravity with their bodies. To do this, they use various methods of the vertical dance with rope, whether by using the wall in pendulum movements or focusing on counterbalance with a pivot point. For the counterbalance method they use partnering work with a pulley system, where two bodies move around a common axis, like gears going up and down.
